We cannot accept orders for items that are unavailable at the time of ordering but you are welcome to add unavailable items to a WISH LIST. You will be notified by email as soon as the plants on your list become available for sale.

Please review your order carefully prior to submitting as no changes can be made after you place your order.

For your convenience, we pack plants in boxes of 8 or 16. Make the most of your shipping and fill the box, your plants will be happier because they’re less likely to move and you will be happier because you have more plants!

Here at Harvest Nursery, we take pride in growing our plants on-site, year around. We ship plants year-round, anywhere in the continental US unless restricted by law. It is up to you to make sure that the plants you choose are appropriate to your USDA climate zone and to choose a ship date when you are ready to receive and plant them. To better fulfill your order, we must ship within two weeks of your original order date. We try to ship Mondays and Thursdays, this ensures that your plants arrive in excellent, disappointment-free condition. We cannot ship to P.O. boxes or outside the continental US. If you have a greenhouse, please keep in mind that plants can be damaged by extreme heat or cold in transit.

In Case of Damage to a Box

PLEASE DON’T REFUSE DELIVERY. Open the box immediately to determine if there is any damage to the plants. If plants arrive damaged, please email us within 48 HOURS OF ARRIVAL preferably with pictures of both the box and the plants. Usually, plants are flexible enough to sustain the blows. If there is some damage, please give the plant a chance to recover. There is a tremendous amount of energy stored in a bountiful root system and most plants recover immediately. If there is considerable damage, just let us know immediately and we’ll be glad to take whatever steps necessary to make it right.

Refund Policy

We want you to be successful with our plants and we strive to grow healthy plants that will thrive. We will gladly issue a replacement, store credit or refund for the original purchase price of plants if they arrive severely damaged. We must receive a report for damaged/missing/incorrect plants within 48 hours of receipt. Plant loss due to severe weather, neglect, incompatible zones or animals is your responsibility. We cannot be responsible for more than the purchase price of the plants.

Loading Plants

We will help you load plants into your vehicle, if you need assistance. It is your responsibility to make sure they are loaded properly and tied down properly. We are not liable for damages to the plants or your vehicle that happen during transit. Please ask for cardboard etc. to protect your carpets. We will not perform acrobatics or feats of strength in order to lift plants and jam them into tight spaces where doing so will cause injury. In other words, “No, that 15 gallon, 10 ft tall bamboo will not fit in your Mini and we cannot help you lift it over the floor hump while bent over double in order to cram it into the corner so that it only sticks out the back 5 feet instead of 6 feet.” That you have to do yourself.

A 50% deposit is required to secure all orders, and is due upon order confirmation. Orders cancelled or reduced within 3 weeks of scheduled ship/pickup/delivery date may be charged a 20% restocking fee. Balances due on orders are to be prepaid, including shipping and handling or delivery charges.

All orders being shipped will be sent UPS unless otherwise stated. All shipping is to be paid by the buyer and is done at the buyer’s risk. Shipping and handling charges will be added to the buyer’s invoice. Harvest Nursery will not be held liable for delays or plant damage while in transit. All claims for damage during shipping are to be filed with the carrier, not Harvest Nursery.


Orders can be picked up at the nursery. To ensure the order is pulled and ready, please schedule a date and time for pick up.


Harvest Nursery carefully inspects all plants before they leave the nursery to make sure they are in good health and are true to species. Orders are taken and confirmed subject to plant conditions; severe weather and other conditions beyond our control. Upon delivery/receipt, the customer should inspect all plants. If there is a problem with the order, a claim must be made within 48 hours. Corrections will be made at Harvest Nursery’s discretion and will be in the form of a replacement. In the event a replacement is not available, credit will be issued in the amount limited to the purchase price of the plants. We cannot guarantee plants after 48 hours, due to a number of reasons that are beyond our control.

Dogs Must Be On Leash

Dogs are welcome at Harvest Nursery. However, for everyone’s safety – including that of our plants, our wildlife and other dogs  – we require that visiting dogs be leashed. Your pet’s safety is our concern, as well. You are responsible for damages done by your pet and we may ask you to purchase damaged plants if it is severe enough.

Children Must Be On Leash

Just Kidding! However, we do ask that you keep an eye on your children while they are here. Their safety is our primary concern, we don’t want them falling into the pond, for example. However, we have had children who damaged plants, minor damage we can deal with, major damage we may actually request you buy the damaged plant.
